This narrative game is an attempt to give an impression of the various processes and the complexity which inhabit the history of a world. This is accomplished by showing the movements of
historically important characters, as well as by showcasing changes in the landscape through time.
The playable application contains twelve time stages, respectively twelve months, in which the user can freely navigate forward and backward in time. By scrolling around, the user is able to perceive different historical or biological facts, related to this island. Occasional buttons indicate additional available information. This project was created as a conceptual game, intended to showcase the possibilites of such an interactive map that combines location and time.
The prototype, created in Unity with the help of Stephen Cusdin from the Leeds Arts University can be downloaded here (for Windows): carleone1.itch.io/the-coast-of-caligua-demo
